Reuben Steains is a photojournalist specialising in documentary and editorial photography on location. Born in the UK he studied Documentary Photography at The Australian Centre for Photography.

His work has appeared in several publications including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent and Geographical Magazine. For him the greatest satisfaction has come from searching for and capturing images which tell a meaningful story beyond words, whilst emotionally involving the viewer.

Most of his images are anchored in current issues, such as the plight of Tibetan Buddhism in exile or the street children of Kathmandu, two causes that Reuben has raised funds for through exhibiting his work.
